After a lengthy investigation, the identity of the suspect from last week's vehicle chase and home invasion was finally discovered. The suspect's real name is Steven Michael Brown, 40 yoa. He was born in NY. The suspect had been living in Johnston County for the last five years under the false name of Randy Singleton. The suspect has multiple aliases and false names that he has been using for many years. The suspect also has a lengthy criminal history under many of those aliases up and down the Eastern U.S. The suspect died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head after being confronted by Deputies, after he broke into a house on Leon Road.
