The City of Ripon Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Comfort Suites, 2 Westgate Dr. Ripon that took place around 11:30 p.m. on April 14, 2011. A male subject entered Comfort suite and confronted a female clerk. The male subject displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave the subject and undisclosed amount of cash and he exited the establishment.
The subject is described as male subject approximately 6’00 feet in height with a medium to medium slender build. The subject was wearing a dark gray or blue hoodie type sweatshirt and dark jeans. The subject had a mask on.
There was no injury in this situation and the Ripon Police Department is investigating. Anyone with information regarding this serious crime is asked to call the Ripon Police Department at 748-2888. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to arrest and conviction of the subject.
