Destruction of Private Property
On 04-11-2011 Officers responded to the 11700 block of Manchester Rd in reference to a Property Damage Report. Upon arrival it was learned that during the overnight hours unknown person(s) had broken a small rear window utilizing a small piece of a cinderblock. No apparent entry was made to the business. No items were disturbed or reported as missing.
Stealing
On 04-11-2011 Officers responded to the West County Center Mall Police Substation in reference to a Walk-In Stealing Report. The victim stated she had recently purchased a cup of coffee from an establishment inside the mall. After making her purchase she sat down at a nearby table with other family members. The victim advised she had placed her purse on the table next to her. It was stated that the victim had intentions of placing her purse into her stroller when she began to depart; unfortunately she believes she left it on the table. It was not until she arrived home that she realized her purse was missing. The victim immediately canceled all pertinent credit / debit items through her financial institutions. No fraudulent purchases were reported at the time of this release.
Stealing from a Motor Vehicle
On 04-16-2011 Officers responded to the 13000 block of Barrett Meadows in reference to a Stealing from a Motor Vehicle. The victim advised that unknown subject(s) gained entry to his vehicle through an unlocked door and removed his school backpack. It was also stated the back pack was later located by a nearby neighbor who had observed an occupant of a passing motor vehicle throw it out the window. The witness was able to provide the vehicles license plate information to Officers on scene. Further investigation led to the identification of the suspect vehicles driver and suspect. During questioning the Suspect admitted to entering the vehicle and taking the backpack. Items missing from the backpack were located in the possession of the suspects and later returned to the victim. Both identified suspects were of juvenile age and this report has been forwarded to the proper governing agency for further review.
Stealing from a Motor Vehicle
On 04-16-2011 Officers were dispatched to the 13000 block of west bound Manchester Rd in reference to a Stealing from a Motor Vehicle Report. The reporting party stated he returned to his vehicle to find that one of the windows had been broken by an unknown object. An inventory of the vehicle discovered that an old empty purse (last located on the passenger seat) had been removed by unknown subject(s). The reporting party advised that there was nothing of value inside the purse. Investigation into this matter continues.
