April 20, 2011 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ENID, OK (April 20, 2011)-- The City of Enid is proud to announce the completion of negotiations with both the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) unions.
City Manager, Eric Benson was very pleased with the outcome of the meetings and congratulated both unions.
“All parties involved are commended for their tireless efforts and cooperation during the entire negotiation process. I was both impressed and appreciative of the efforts by the negotiating teams and especially the efforts of the AFSCME leadership to offer early proposals for fiscal plans we can support,” said Benson.”
Benson also complimented the members of the City staff who were involved in the negotiations.
“The City team did a superb job in this endeavor and their leadership and patience was evident in all segments, “said Benson.
Currently the City is negotiating with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IFAFF).
