Driver: Taft Miles, age 45 from Florence, Alabama
• No charges filed against the driver of the Semi-Truck
• Trailer was empty
The driver of a 2006 freightliner attempted to make a U-turn in the 2800 block of Sylvester Road when the top of the trailer caught some low hanging wires. A wooden utility pole snapped and the vehicle tilted to the right side. The left side wheels of the truck were lifted off the ground. No one was injured.
• Power has been restored
• The roads are expected to remain closed until about 5:00 p.m. this afternoon.
