Copper Theft - Residential 
On 04/21/11, at approximately 08:30AM, AEPD units were dispatched to a theft on Dunwick Drive (1100 block). Upon initial investigation it was determined that unknown persons had made entry into the crawl space under the residence and removed some of the copper tubing. The time of theft has been estimated to be between 04/20/11 @ 9:00PM and 04/21/11 at 08:15AM.
As in another recent and similar event, the incident location was an unoccupied residence having renovations completed. As in the earlier event, no persons reportedly observed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the immediate area of the incident.
The incident is under investigation and the AEPD requests that any persons having information possibly related to the case to contact Investigator Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.
The community is requested to watch those homes in their neighborhood that are unoccupied and call 911 immediately should they observe suspicious persons, activity and/or vehicles in the immediate area.
