Public Indecency

On 04-18-2011 Officers responded to the 12800 block of Manchester Rd in reference to a report of Public Indecency. Upon their arrival Officers learned that a male subject (still on scene) had proceeded to the rear of the business and urinated in view of the passing public. The male subject admitted to having urinated in public and was given a summons to appear in court at a later date.

Please refer to the earlier alert sent out on 04-19-2011 in reference to a recent residential burglary off of Bopp Rd.

Recovered Property

On 04-22-2011 Detectives were summoned to the 900 block of Des Peres Rd in reference to Found Property. Workers in the area recovered a black women’s purse from a creek in the nearby area. The contents of the purse showed the owner to be from the Chesterfield area. Further investigation found that the purse had been stolen from a motor vehicle in the Chesterfield area back in November of 2010. The purse and remaining contents were later returned to the rightful owner.

I.D. Theft

On 04-23-2011 Officers were contacted by a subject who had been a victim of Identity Theft. The victim stated he had been contacted via telephone by a Investigator with his financial institution. The Investigator informed the victim that unknown person(s) had attempted to use his personal information and checking account number to an internet “Mystery Shopper” program. No money was removed from the victims account due to the suspect(s) inadvertently leaving out two numerics of the checking account number. The actual Identity Theft is believed to have over the internet outside the Des Peres area. The financial institution investigators are continuing to investigate this matter.

Forgery

On 04-23-2011 Officers were contacted, via walk-in, in reference to a Forgery report. The victim stated that her vehicle and purse were stolen (by unknown person(s)) from another jurisdiction earlier in the day. When making contact with her financial institution she learned that her debit card had been used fraudulently at a business in the 12100 block of Manchester Rd. Video surveillance at the business is being utilized to assist Detectives from both departments in identifying the suspect(s).
