Unwanted or unused pharmaceuticals collected tomorrow from 10-2pm at Grapevine PD

DEA - National Take Back Initiative

On Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 1000 am - 2 pm, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is offering another National Take Back Initiative. The Initiative allows residents to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to the police for destruction.

Medications will be collected in the front parking lot of the Grapevine Police Department located at 307 W Dallas Road. Last year, Grapevine Police collected and surrendered to the DEA 97 lbs of unused/unwanted medications for destruction.

This will be a great opportunity for those who missed the first event or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of them.

Don't live in Grapevine - No Problem! Go to www.dea.gov and click on the Got Drugs banner at the top of the screen to find a location nearest to your home. You can also call 800-882-9539 to find the location nearest to your home.

For additional details, please contact Officer Jason Keller at 817-421-2192.
