On Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 10:20PM, at the intersection of Delano Street and Tyrone Avenue, a serious injury traffic collision occurred between a van and a bicycle. Juan Topete, 21 years old, a resident of Van Nuys, Ca, was riding his black bicycle eastbound on Delano Street when he was hit by a brown Chevy Astrovan. The year of the van was not described, nor is there a license plate description of the car. There will be minor to moderate traffic collision damage to the front end of the van.

The investigation is continuing and Valley Traffic Detectives are searching for additional witnesses that may have observed the collision.
