On May 24th, 2011 the Enid Police Department in conjunction with the Garfield Co. Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, United States Marshals, and the Department of Human Services Office of Inspector General conducted an intensive sweep which led to the arrest of 31 people with multiple felony charges. “Due to the success of this operation the Enid Police Department will be conducting similar operations in the future.”, stated Captain Dean Grassino.
During this warrant sweep a search warrant was served which resulted in the seizure of a sawed off shotgun, nine (9) grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, digital scales, a stolen handgun and U.S. currency derived from the sale of illegal narcotics. These items were all in the possession of a convicted felon, Tommy Ray Robinson. Jessica Vasquez was also arrested at this residence.
The majority of the warrants consisted of felony narcotic violations as well as other outstanding felony warrants.
“I would like to thank the US Marshals, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office and OBNDDC and DHS OIG for their participation in this operation. All of these defendants are alleged to have committed serious crimes and need to be removed from the community.” , stated Chief Brian O’Rourke .
