Why:

A traffic collision, occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or other stationary obstruction, such as a tree or utility pole. Traffic collisions may result in injury, death and property damage. Worldwide motor vehicle collisions lead to significant death and disability as well as significant financial costs to both society and the individuals involved.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division in association with Councilmember Dennis P. Zine and Valley Traffic Advisor Council will host our “8th Annual Still Saving Lives Car Show & Child/Traffic Safety Fair.”

This family community event, designed to increase the awareness of traffic safety, will include 300+ classic cars, 25+ gourmet mobile food trucks and various static displays to include the LAPD Air Support Division, Motorcycle Drill Team, Mounted Unit, Off-Road detail, Bicycle Unit, Bomb Squad, K-9, Recruitment, SCUBA and SWAT Units, Los Angeles Fire Department vehicle extraction demonstrations, child safety seat installation demonstrations, bicycle rodeo and a climbing wall for children, the North Hollywood ‘shoot out’ vehicle to include the patrol car and suspect's vehicle, the Video Games 2U bus, the original ‘bat mobile’ and various movie vehicles plus live radio broadcasts and fun for all. This is a family event not to miss.
