Get Your Pneumonia Shot
Did you get your pneumonia shot? Pneumonia can occur any time of the year. This disease can be caused by bacteria, a virus or even fungus. If not caught early, pneumonia can be fatal.
To protect yourself, the Bloomfield Health & Human Services, Public Health Nursing offers the pneumonia vaccine.

Is a smoker
Has diabetes, heart disease or liver disease

Where can I get the pneumonia shot? Call the Bloomfield Public Health Nursing office at 973.680.4058 for information or to schedule an appointment.
But I already had a pneumonia shot, do I need a second dose? If you received your first dose of pneumonia vaccine before the age of 65 years, a second dose is recommended five years later. If the first dose of pneumonia vaccine was given at or after age 65 years, only one dose is required.
