Updated Press Release on Assault with Deadly Weapon incident on 05/21/11 
On May 21, 2011 at approximately 11:20 p.m., Livermore police officers responded to the report of a shooting which occurred in the AM/PM mini mart parking lot, 785 E. Stanley Blvd. Upon arrival, officers located several witnesses in the parking lot and no apparent victim. Witnesses reported seeing two subjects shooting at another subject after a verbal exchange and all involved subjects fled the area. From witness statements, it appeared no one had been injured as a result of the gunshots.
Surveillance footage revealed two subjects associated with a red Mazda B4000 pickup truck shooting at an unidentified victim with several innocent bystanders running and seeking cover. During the course of the investigation, Livermore detectives learned that Ramon Corona Perez was identified as the driver of the red Mazda pickup truck and he was captured on surveillance as one of the suspects shooting at the victim. The second suspect, a juvenile, has been identified and is also seen on surveillance shooting at the victim. Both Perez and the juvenile were seen leaving the area in the red Mazda pickup truck.
Three handguns have been recovered as the result of two separate search warrants. One handgun matched the caliber of the handgun used in the shooting and was reported stolen during an unrelated residential burglary. Both Perez and the juvenile have been arrested and Perez is currently in custody at Santa Rita Jail and the juvenile is currently at Juvenile Hall. At this time, we are unable to determine whether or not the shooting was gang related.
The Livermore Police Department is requesting assistance with locating witnesses at the scene, as well as, identifying the victim in this case. We are encouraging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Livermore Police Department.
