Enid Men Arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Enid Police have arrested two Enid men as a result of an altercation that took place at 1114 N. 15th St. on Thursday night sometime around 10:30 PM. Fernando Delgadillo, age 45, and Freddie Rodriguez, age 26, reported that they were visiting a friend who lives at 1114 N. 15th St. when a White Jeep SUV pulled up in front of the house. They stated that numerous black males got out of the Jeep and some of them had bats. An altercation ensued and Delgadillo and Rodriguez were struck in the heads with bats. They were both transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by LIFE EMS. Rodriguez was treated and released. Delgadillo remains in St. Mary’s Intensive Care Unit.
Responding officers investigated and located one of the suspects, Curtis Lofton Jr., in the 600 block of W. Frantz. Officer James Buck made contact with Lofton and questioned him about the altercation. Lofton was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was transported to the police department so that detectives could speak with him. Lofton was also charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon for his participation in the altercation.
Detectives spoke to Ronntae Stewart, age 19, at the police department earlier today. He was subsequently arrested for his involvement with the altercation and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Stewart was also arrested on other unrelated charges, Burglary to an Automobile and Possession of a Firearm after a Former Conviction.
Enid Detectives are investigating leads and attempting to locate other suspects from the assault.
