The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on July 8, 2011 at 12:29 a.m., at the intersection of Cahuenga Boulevard and Barham Boulevard.

The collision occurred when a 41- year-old resident of Van Nuys was riding his 1990 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Cahuenga Boulevard. 52-year-old La Crescenta resident, Maxime Desire, turned left from Cahuenga Boulevard onto Barham Boulevard in front of the motorcyclist. The motorcycle collided with the right side of Desire’s 2003 Honda Accord and the rider was ejected onto the roadway. The motorcyclist was transported by the Los Angeles City Fire Department to a local hospital where he died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
