REPAVING ALERT 
I am pleased to advise you that the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will begin paving on ROUTE 1 & 9, NORTH AND SOUTH BOUND LOCAL & EXPRESS LANES NEAR NORTH AVENUE within the next few days. The project is scheduled to run through the beginning of 2012.
The project will be constructed using night time lane closures and the roadway will be opened to traffic the following morning. The contractor is required to maintain at least one (1) lane of traffic at all times. Ramps entering or exiting Route 1 & 9 within the work zone will be detoured or staged according to NJDOT standards. Advance construction warning signs and detour signs for ramp closures will be posted.
