CHP advises you to AVOID Hwy 1 at Hwy 17 (the fishhook) due to current traffic congestion from a vehicle fire. The intersection will be completely closed until at least 4:30 pm. Detours include Emeline to El Rancho for N/B traffic and the bypass to River Street for southbound traffic.
