Driver killed in a head-on traffic collision in Sherman Oaks
Sherman Oaks: On July 16, 2011 at approximately 12:05 a.m., a male sole occupant 28 years old resident of Los Angeles was driving a 1987 Honda Civic, northbound on Sepulveda Blvd crossed over the center median into the opposing traffic lanes and collided head-on with a 2001 Porsche Carrera traveling southbound Sepulveda Blvd approximately 300’ north of Valley Meadow Road. The Porsche Carrera was being driven by a sole male occupant 61 year old resident of Encino.
The driver of the Porsche Carrera sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Honda Civic was seriously injured and transported to the hospital by rescue ambulance where he was pronounced dead from the result of the traffic collision.
The driver’s name of the Honda will not be disclosed until notification of next to kin.
