UPDATE ON NIGHTCLUB SHOOTING FROM JULY 23 IN LITTLE TOKYO - ONE VICTIM HAS DIED
Jackie Hoang, 29, of Alhambra died of his wounds yesterday morning at the USC Los Angeles County Medical Center.
Hoang was one of two men shot by a masked gunman around 1:30 AM in front of the Vault XXI bar lounge, located in Little Tokyo.
Police are looking for a suspect that fits the description of a man, 5'6" tall, medium build. He was wearing a small, beige fedora hat on top of a ski mask over his face, a dark flannel shirt, and jeans.
Detectives suspect the gunman may be of Asian ethnicity.
He fired over a half dozen rounds from a semi-automatic handgun at the two men who were smoking outside the lounge. The surviving victim is in stable condition.
