Present and future Valley Traffic Division Reserve Officers,



We are having a MANDATORY RESERVE MEETING on Aug. 18, 2011 at 1800 hours in the Valley Traffic Division roll call room located at 7870 Nollan Place Panorama City, CA 91401.



The Valley Traffic Division Reserve program is growing...with your help. This is an effort to get 'all of our ducks in a row'. Our intent is to regularly provide Reserve Officers with enticing work opportunities. We'd like to get the word out and to have those who have had the desire to wear the LAPD badge join our team.



If you know of someone who might be interested in assisting us with the following:


* Child Safety

* Sober Graduation

* Escorts

* Off-Road Detail

* Traffic Safety Education

* Impound and citation details

* Commercial Task-Forces

* Annual Golf Tournament

* Annual Car Show

* Retirement/Shooting Training Day BBQ's

* H2O operations in court (plain clothes)

* DRE

* DUI check-points

* Administrative duties to include Area/divisional front desk

* Communications

* Community Relations Office

* Detective non-enforcement assignments

* Special task forces

* Traffic control

* Security at parades and sporting events

* Report car (investigative field reports where suspects are not likely present

* Evidence transportation

* Prisoner transportation

* Parking enforcement; and,

* Subpoena service

Among other duties that continue to become an opportunity.
