LAPD Central officers have been named "Heroes of the Week" by KNX radio. Hear the story at the 50th min after each hour.
The main officer, Rick Linton, whose arm was bitten by the suicidal man during the rescue, was singled out, along with several of his partner officers.
Despite being bitten, Ofc Linton held onto the man, keeping him from falling 13 floors.
