Please continue to monitor the progress of the storm. At the present time, we expect the rain to continue overnight with sustained winds of 30-40mph and gusts up to 70mph beginning around 9:00pm.

Our Office of Emergency Management, Highway crews, Police, and all appropriate staff will be working during the storm. Volunteers in the Fire Departments in North White Plains, Armonk and Banksville are standing ready. North Castle Emergency Operations Center is fully staffed to deal with this event. We are prepared to respond.

North Castle Citizen Corps Council volunteers will be at the Hergenhan Center from 4pm until 10pm tonight and on standby thereafter. If you require overnight sheltering, please call North Castle Police at 273-9500.

In order to assist our emergency responders to help you and your neighbors, please stay off roads for the duration of the storm. Expect downed trees, power outages and some flooding which will necessitate closing roads in Town. Several road closures are planned throughout the County, including most parkways.

To report power interruptions or service problems, use the
Con Ed website or call 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633).
Immediately report downed wires to North Castle Police. Do not approach the area of any downed wires, even if they appear to be inactive. If you encounter standing water on a roadway, do not drive through it. Leave all road barricades in place and choose an alternate route.

North Castle Office of Emergency Management will send periodic updates on Nixle.

Check on relatives, friends and neighbors - particularly anyone you know who has special needs. If you cannot check on someone who may need assistance, contact North Castle Police at 273-9500.
