On September 5, 2011, at approximately 2105 hours, a hit and run traffic collision occurred between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Eben Camper of Encino was crossing Ventura Boulevard at Lemona Avenue when he was struck by a hit and run driver. The hit and run driver failed to stop and identify himself and did not render aide. The suspect was described by witnesses as a Male Caucasian, blonde/gray hair, unknown color eyes, tall (approximately 6 feet tall), and 170-200 pounds. The suspect’s car is described as a white Dodge Caravan, unknown year.

The suspect slowed down to under 5 MPH before he sped away, eastbound on Ventura Boulevard towards Van Nuys Boulevard. The witness stated that the front right hand side of the car should be damaged. The witness told the 911 operator that the partial license plate number is 6rq.

The investigation is continuing and Valley Traffic Detectives are searching for additional witnesses that may have observed the collision.
