On September 12, 2011 at approximately 10:00 PM, a black male wearing all black and gray clothing and a gray bandana across his face approached the drive through window at Sonic on foot and tapped on the glass with what a witness described as a silver handgun and demanded money.

When employees stated that they did not have any money, the suspect approached the west side door of the business and fired a round into the doorway, with the projectile lodging into the bottom of the door frame. The employees ran to the rear of the business and locked themselves in the cooler. The suspect then left on foot in an unknown direction.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male approximately 5' 5" to 5' 6" tall, slim build with close cut or bald hairstyle, wearing all gray and black with a gray bandana across his face and carrying a silver handgun.
