Blazer, the Folsom Fire Department’s mascot, wants to remind you that tomorrow your Fire Department is opening its doors for a Fire Prevention Month Open House on Saturday, October 8th between 10 AM and 1 PM at Folsom Fire Station 35, 535 Glenn Drive. There will be overflow parking available at Walgreens, next to Fire Station 35.

There will be various firefighting and rescue apparatus on display including fire engines, a ladder truck, an air and light truck, a rescue ambulance, a rescue boat and more. Firefighters will demonstrate the firefighting clothing and equipment they use when they are called to help Folsom residents and businesses.

Residents will also be able to learn and practice fire safety skills such as fire extinguisher use, cooking safety, home fire escape planning, and how to Stop, Drop, and Roll.

Blazer and his friend Murray the Fire Engine are looking forward to making more fire safety friends at this year’s Open House and hope to see you there!
