St. Louis PLEASE HELP FIND LOST DOG named Artemis, he ran away from a car accident Thursday night, when the owner was hit by a person who ran a red light on Manchester near 270 and the mall. The owner’s car rolled and Artemis ran off. On Friday afternoon, he was seen south of there by The Transportation Museum on Barrett Station and he was limping. He is a 95 lb, neutered male sable German Shepherd dog and is trained for agility. The owner trains him three times a week and competes in agility. Artemis has titles and is working on his championship and well trained but shy. He ran from people who were trying to catch him. He seems to be heading south towards home. If you see him, please call 314-835-6200. On Monday Artemis has been seen but he is still lost. On Monday around noon the Des Peres Police called, they had seen Artemis and he was by the Des Peres public works area, where the police refuel their squad cars off Des Peres Rd. He was still there when the owner got there but he had been spooked by the police officer. Her husband saw the dog and Artemis even turned and started towards her husband, but then saw the police officer and ran. That started an hour dog hunt, with 5 or 6 police officers in their cars driving around as Artemis ran from street to street. Someone would see him, but then off he would go. They drove around with family in various cars & walked and people would tell them that that he had run by 10 min ago or an hour. But they never saw him or caught him. At least we know he is fine as of today but really, really scared. As soon as he sees someone, he runs. He is a 95 lb, neutered male sable German Shepherd dog and is trained for agility. The owner trains him three times a week and competes in agility. Artemis has titles and is working on his championship and well trained but shy. If you see him, please call 314-835-6200. Anything you can do to help spread the word through your Des Peres network would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
