The Wood Heights Fire Chief has lifted the burn ban. All residents are able to obtain a burn permit at the fire station and burn by the state and district guidelines. Reminder that if you live in our district you must obtain a burn permit for any outdoor burning prior to doing the burning. The permit is not an option and is required for any and all outdoor open burning. Burn permits are only issued for limbs, leaves, and grass area. No construction material or any other materials are allowed to be burned in the district. Missouri Dept of Natural Rescources is the enforcement department for the district and will give you a ticket, penalty, or up to imprisonment sentance for failure to obide by the burn permit ordinance.
