Pursuant to a recent traffic survey conducted by the Illinois Department of Transportation, our Central Business District is experiencing a violation rate of 66.5% of people speeding over the posted 20mph speed limit.

Due to the amount of pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic and potential for accidents, we will be stepping up enforcement of our posted speed limits down town to insure everyone complies with our speed laws and we will be promoting a safer environment for patrons.
