Tecate, Mexico wildfire poses no current threat to US. However, smoke can be seen throught the southbay.

Smoke from a 600 acre wildfire burning in Mexico is visible in the South Bay (Chula Vista and San Diego). The fire is reported to be burning in Tecate on the Mexico side of the international border. There is no report of damage or homes threatened at this time. Due to the large generation of smoke, people with health concerns should stay indoors and out of the smoke.
