On November 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. PST there will be a Nationwide Test of the Emergency Alert System. 
On November 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. PST there will be a Nationwide Test of the Emergency Alert System. The purpose of the November test is to make sure that the nationwide system will work as designed. The test will last approximately thirty seconds and the audio portion of the test will state: "This is A test." Listen to the test; regular programming will resume shortly after the test.
