Williamston Police Department has an important message for you! Winter reminders on parking and snow removal

Williamston Police Department has an important message for the community!

With the winter months fast approaching, the Williamston Police Department would like to remind Citizens of the following.

There is no parking allowed on any City street between 2:00 – 4:00 a.m. from October 1st through March 31st in the City of Williamston. If there is a late snowfall in April, cars will need to be removed from the streets so the Department of Public Works can plow.

It is the responsibility of the property owner to remove any ice and snow from the entire length of the sidewalk on their property regardless of whether the property is occupied or if there is a building or structure on it. Sidewalks need to be cleared within 24 hours of cessation of snowfall if less than 4” or within 48 hours if greater than 4”. Sidewalks not cleared may be cleaned by City employees and the property owner invoiced.

Please use care when driving. Thank you.
