Information Needed Regarding Two Recent Homicides 
77th Street Homicide Detectives are seeking information regarding the murder of Samuel Theard.
On Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 9:20 PM 16-year-old Samuel Theard and two others were standing in front of 3438 W 59th Place in South Los Angeles, when two male blacks aged 18-20 years old walked up and fired numerous times striking the three men. Theard, was transported a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The other two men are expected to survive.

77th Street Homicide Detectives are seeking information regarding the murder of Manuel Lara.
On Sunday, November 27, 2011, at 8:40 PM, 52-year-old Manual Lara was with his 5-year-old son at 511 W 84th Street in South Los Angeles attempting to jump-start his vehicle when a lone male black walked up and attempted to rob him. During the robbery, the suspect pulled a handgun and shot Lara once in the chest, fatally wounding him while Lara’s little boy watched. The suspect ran from the scene westbound on 84th Street.
