Community Police Academy 
The North Hollywood Area of the Los Angeles Police Department is currently looking for individuals interested in attending the upcoming Community Police Academy. The Academy program will provide community members with an inside look at the Los Angeles Police Department and various facets of law enforcement. During the Academy, students will be introduced to basic police operations such as the Senior Lead program, traffic enforcement, detective services, specialized units, and the 911 system.
Classes are conducted once a week for eight weeks, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is free of charge. The next Academy class will start on Thursday, January 19, 2012 and will be held at the Davis Training Facility in Granada Hills.
