The Ingham County Sheriff s Office will hold the Annual SHOP WITH A HERO Progam.

Tonight, Wednesday, December 7th, between 6:45 and 9:00 p.m., the Meijers Store in Mason on Hull Road, will be hosting the Annual AShop With a Hero Program. Fifty (50) children have been selected, from over 110 children who were nominated, to participate in this program. The children will be given a $100.00 gift certificate to shop with a Firefighter or Police Officer at the Mason Meijer=s Store. The presents will then be wrapped by volunteers, and the family presented with a $50.00 food basket. The AShop With a Hero Program was instituted to assist children and families in making their Christmas a little brighter.

Participating agencies are: Ingham County Sheriff s Office, Ingham County Sheriff s Office Mounted Division, and Motor Cycle Unit, Mason Police Department, Leslie Police and Fire Department, and Delhi Fire Department. Numerous employees from these agencies and area businesses have raised over $3,000.00 to sponsor this event.
