Flooding 
The heavy rains are beginning to take an effect on our roadways. The intersection of Byberry Road and Masons MIll Road is flooded and detours are now in effect. It is expected that in the very near future other locations will also be impassable.
Please be careful in your travels and do not disregard barricades or signs warning of road closures. Running water is capable of moving vehicles and popping open manhole covers. As the ground softens, trees fall onto electric lines and those live wires fall into the flooded areas. There is no way for you to know if the road is safe. Do not take the chance. If you do, you endanger yourself and the rescuers that will come to help you.
If you are lost or require directions, pull to the side of the road and call an Upper Moreland Police Community Service Representative at 215-657-4700. If you see a hazardous condition that has not been marked with barricades or flares, call 911 and report the location to the police.
