On Friday, December 16th, 2011, at approximately 1800 hours, a severe traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Lindley Avenue and Rayen Street in Northridge. A red Ford Explorer driven by Charles Giarratana, 62 years-old, a resident of Reseda, northbound on Lindley and made a left turn onto Rayen. The Explorer collided with the victim, David Landowski, 53 years-old, a resident of Canyon Country, who was traveling southbound on Lindley. David Landowski was riding on his white and purple colored KTM 620SX motorcycle.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

The investigation is continuing and Valley Traffic Detectives are searching for additional witnesses that may have observed the collision.
