Bank of America Robbery Upadate:
The Newton Police Department is reporting that on December 20, 2011, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Bank of America, which is located at 21 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill was robbed.
According to information obtained by investigators, the bank was robbed, by a white male, described as being 25-30 years of age, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds and a muscular build. This suspect was seen wearing a Black Baseball Cap with a White lettered W on the front, a White-Hoodie with a large skull on the front and the word SINISTER written on the back in either dark Brown or Red lettering, a Black Polo shirt under the Hoodie and jeans with dark stitching on the back pockets.
The suspect passed a note a to a teller and was given an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing out a rear exit of the bank. The suspect was seen entering the passenger side of a Brown colored sedan, which then fled westbound behind the Chestnut Hill Lower Mall heading towards Hammond Pond Parkway.
At the time of the robbery, there were three customers in the bank. There was no weapon seen and nobody inside the bank was injured.
The Newton Police Department, in conjunction with the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is currently investigating this incident.
