Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Industry Station, responded to the 17000 block of Main Street, La Puente, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the apparent home invasion robbery that occurred shortly before 2:00am, Wednesday.

At approximately 1:50am, deputies responded to the location after they were notified by the victims that they had been attacked, tied up and robbed by two masked gunman. The victims described the suspects as two male Blacks who were wearing ski masks.

As the male victim was leaving for work, he was confronted by the two suspects outside of his garage, in front of the residence.

The suspects demanded money from the victim and escorted him back inside the residence. While inside, the suspects demanded $200,000 from the victim, who told them he did not have that amount of money. The victim was hit on the head with a handgun, causing the gun to discharge into the ceiling of the residence. The victim was tied up with electrical cords and ordered to the ground.

The victim’s wife, who was also inside the residence, was tied up and both victims were locked in the trunk of their car inside the garage.

The suspects proceeded to ransack the victim’s residence and stole approximately $2400.00 in cash. The suspects fled the location either on foot or in an unknown type of vehicle. The victims were able to free themselves and summoned deputies.

The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non life threating injuries.
