Parking Regulations during Winter Storm Events
SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES
-$35 parking citations will be issued to any vehicle that is parked on a posted Snow Emergency Route whenever there are 2 inches or more of accumulated snow/ice on the roadway. Vehicles may also be towed at the owner's expense if they are parked in such a manner as to constitute a safety hazard.
-Snow Emergency Routes are all designated with blue and white Snow Emergency Route signs.
-On-street parking is allowed after the snowfall has ended and the roadway has been plowed from curb to curb.
SECONDARY STREETS
-$30 parking citations will be issued to any vehicle that is parked on a secondary street within 12 hours following a snowfall of 3 inches or more. Vehicles may also be towed at the owner's expense if they are parked in such a manner as to constitute a safety hazard.
-Secondary streets are defined as those streets, including dead end streets and cul-de-sacs, which have not been previously designated as Snow Emergency Routes
-On-street parking is allowed after the roadway has been plowed from curb to curb.
24 HOUR PARKING PROHIBITION
-Separate $30 parking citations will also be issued to any vehicle that remains parked on a public street for longer than 24 consecutive hours.
