NORTHERN DISTRICT
ATTEMPTED THEFT / ASSAULT LINTHICUM
On January 16, 2012, at approximately 1:44 a.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the Uppy’s Exxon located in the 400 block of Camp Meade Road in Linthicum for a report of an attempted theft.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store employee, who stated that a male suspect entered the business, walked behind the counter and began to remove several cartons of cigarettes from a cabinet. The suspect then attempted to run from the business with the cigarettes. The clerk confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued resulting in the suspect dropping the cigarettes. The suspect then verbally threatened the store clerk with a knife and fled the business towards Camp Meade Road. Several officers conducted a search of neighboring businesses and communities, but were unable to locate the suspect.
Suspect: White male in his late 20’s, approximately 5’8”-5’10”, wearing faded black jeans, a hooded sweatshirt with a black and neon blue design on it and black tennis shoes with white trim on the bottom.
