The contractor has completed installation of the chain link fence except for the northbound off ramp at La Cienega. Also, the concrete barrier on the east side of La Cienega Blvd up to Stocker has been constructed. There are some metal beam guard railings being installed throughout the project which is now about 25 percent complete. On Wednesday, January 25th, the contractor will begin work under the Slauson bridge on La Cienega Blvd in order to construct the concrete barrier on both sides of La Cienega Blvd. This work will require permanent closure of one traffic lane in each direction and temporary closure of the second lane (9:00am to 3:00pm), while work is performed in order to provide safety for the workers in this area. As a result, there will be only one lane of traffic for each direction at a time. This work is anticipated to be completed within the next two weeks.
