Marina del Rey Marine Patrol Deputies working in conjunction with LACO Fire Baywatch recovered 30 Bales of marijuana floating approximately 6 Nautical Miles North / West of the harbor entrance. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $500,000.00. The marijuana was taken to Marina del Rey Station and transferred to the custody U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The investigation of this maritime smuggling event is being handled by L.A. B.E.S.T., USCG and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
