Update to a severe traffic collision that occurred on 1-15-2012 at Whitsett and Cumpston, in North Hollywood.
**Crime alert update**
On January 15th, 2012, at approximately 5:45AM, a severe injury Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian traffic collision occurred at Whitsett Avenue and Cumpston Street, in North Hollywood. The suspected driver fled the scene without rendering aid identifying him/herself.
The victim was transported to Cedars Sinai Hospital in critical condition by LAFD personnel. The victim, Ronald Verville, 40 years old, of North Hollywood, remains in critical condition.
**Updated Information**
The investigation has revealed that the suspect’s car is possibly: a 1992-1997 Ford F150, 250, or 350 truck, or a Bronco Sport Utility Vehicle, or SUV. The color of the truck has not yet been identified. The truck will be missing the passenger side front head light and turn signal marker.
The investigation is continuing and Valley Traffic Detectives are searching for additional witnesses that may have observed the collision.
