Wayne Police Officers were patrolling the area of Chestnut Street and Wayne Road when they interrupted an attempt larceny from vehicle in progress at approximately 3:46am. The unidentified suspect had fled on foot and eluded capture. Three vehicles in the area were ransacked by the thief. No items were found missing. Be advised Patrol Officers are aggressively patrolling your streets. Residents need to be reminded to lock your unattended vehicles. Locking your vehicles, garages, sheds and your homes including your windows is the best prevention you can do.
