The **(Port Neches Police Department)** is releasing information about recent auto burglaries that occurred on 2-9-12.
**In the early morning hours of Thursday February 9th, 2012 thieves entered unlocked vehicles and took loose change and currency. There were seven auto burglaries reported in the following locations: 2 on Texas Ave, 2 on Goodwin Courts, 2 on Goodwin Ave. and one on Baker st. The suspects entered the unlocked vehicles and rummaged through the glove boxes and consoles in search of money. Also, the suspects had the opportunity to take valuable electronics but only took loose change and currency. To help prevent this type of criminal activity, always remove valuables from your vehicle and lock it when unattended. Also, be alert for any suspicious people or activity in your neighborhood and do not hesitate to call the Police. **
