On February 11, 2012 at approximately 1l:50pm, officers from the Thurmont Police Department responded to a home in Pleasant Acres for a Domestic Assault in Progress. Upon their arrival they found the husband with blood on his hands. The officers located the victim upstairs with blood on her clothing and holding a towel against her head. An ambulance responded to treat and transport the victim to FMH. Further investigation revealed that the couple had been arguing when the husband struck the victim in the head with a lamp. The husband was identified as: Jason C. Richardson, age 37, of Pleasant Acres, Thurmont. Mr. Richardson was arrested and transported to Central Booking and charged with: First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Carry Dangerous Weapon w/intent to cause injury, Reckless Endangerment. Mr. Richardson was held on a $30,000 bond. The victim was treated at FMH for a laceration to the head.
