The City Outdoor Warning Sirens will be tested on Monday night February 13 at 7 PM.
They will continue to be tested on the second Monday of the month every month. The sirens are designed to warn those outside to seek shelter due to severe weather or other hazard. They are activated by radio from the Fire Department, the Police Department, and the FD Command vehicle. They will run for 3 minutes unless deactivated by radio. In the event of a city wide power outage, the main siren at the Fire Station will continue to sound, powered by the station generator.
