On Saturday, 02-18-12, AEPD officers responded to the parking lot of the Swim & Tennis Club (51 Dartmouth Avenue) in reference to an Entering Auto call.
Upon arrival and after the initial investigation it was determined that two (2) vehicles had been unlawfully entered, each having a window broken in the process. One victim reported having her purse and its contents taken and the other victim reported a digital camera missing.
It is believed that the theft(s) occurred during a short time period, 1:00 - 1:20pm. Officers canvassed the immediate and surrounding area. No witnesses were located; anyone having possible information that may be of assistance in the investigation is asked to contact Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.
Also, all citizens are reminded not to leave items of value in plain view when away from their vehicle, regardless if it is only for a few moments.
