Locations, the east slopes of the berkshires, central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
Hazard types, heavy snow.
Accumulations, snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches, along with around a trace of ice.
Timing, snow will begin between 1 and 3 pm today. It should become heavy at times by the evening commute and continue into Thursday morning.
Impacts, a fairly dry snow is expected. Poor visibility and slippery travel due to snow covered roadways. Both the evening and Thursday morning commutes should be affected.
Winds, east 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
Visibilities, one quarter to one half mile at times.
Temperatures, in the lower 30s.

A winter storm watch is issued for the potential of heavy snow with more than 6 inches of accumulation. Travel may be difficult during the height of the storm. Those planning travel may wish to modify their plans.
A winter storm warning is issued when an average of 6 or more inches of snow is expected in a 12 hour period, or for 8 or more inches in a 24 hour period. Travel will be slow at best on well treated surfaces, and quite difficult on any unplowed or untreated surfaces.
