Two explanations:
One for receiving and accessing messages after receiving a text message on your phone and one for receiving the message by way of your email, on your phone or on your PC/lap ext.
Text message by Phone:
You will receive a text message and attached is a link to the Nixle web-site. On this page you will see the words “Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department”. Click on this and you will see on the next page our Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department shoulder patch logo. Among the information next to our shoulder patch is the Buchanan County web-link. Click this and it will take you to our web-site and here you will find the Bulletin tab. Click it and view the bulletin.
Email message:
You will receive a email message and on this page you will see “view this message on the web”. Click on this and it will take you to the Full Notification page. Here click on the words “Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department” which is right below Address/Location heading. This will take you to our Nixle web-page. Click on this and you will see on the next page our Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department shoulder patch logo. Among the information next to our shoulder patch is the Buchanan County web-link. Click this and it will take you to our web-site and here you will find the Bulletin tab. Click it and view the bulletin.
I have also learned that if I do send out the information as a “Community message”, the system will not text anyone, therefore I will more than likely send it as an “Advisory”.
Having said all of this please follow the instruction and view the bulletin I tried to send out last week.
